The H2DEMO Project participated at the FVEE Jahrestagung 2021 „Mit Wasserstoff zur Klimaneutralität –von der Forschung in die Anwendung“ which was held in Berlin from 10th -11th November 2021. Dr Sonya Calnan (HZB) gave a talk entitled „Opportunities and challenges for wider deployment of directly coupled photovoltaic driven water electrolysis“ that she co-authored with Dr Frank Dimroth (Fraunhofer ISE) among others. She discussed the state of the art of various technologies for directly coupled photovoltaic electrolysis, including the H2DEMO approach, identified priority areas for research and proposed a road map for the commercialisation by 2050, of such systems.
